- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I'm not sure what all these negative reviewers are thinking. Yes, the vets at best friends often run a little late, just as human doctors often do-- sometimes an examination or procedure ends up needing more time or attention than was scheduled for. And YES, procedures/tests/medication COST MONEY. It costs money to buy the supplies, buy the equipment, rent the building, pay the staff, etc-- it's a business, with overhead, and that doesn't change just because you're upset. I think the poor receptionist is about ready to quit from all the calls from unreasonable clients who don't want to pay their bill because. I have literally seen her on the phone with a difficult client for 15+ min patiently trying to explain why she can't drop the bill for services that were already performed to a problem customer who did not want to pay whatever he/she previously agreed to. If you need treatment but are short on money, buy pet insurance-- don't stiff the vet!! I have been bringing my dog here for a little over a year and she has had a number of visits-- her spay, a scary, mysterious incident after her spay, the multiple foxtails she gets up her nose in the summer-- and I am happy and quite impressed with the service and attention provided. Every time she has needed some kind of procedure there has been an estimate provided beforehand that broke down exactly what I would be paying for and how much it would be in total. The staff and veterinarians have always been helpful and polite, and have called to follow up afterward to make sure she is doing well, more than once if appropriate. I have never had any problems with quality of care or with being overcharged. The only downside I can think of is that they are very busy; that said, they have always made an effort to schedule me in a reasonable amount of time. It seems obvious to me that they care about the animals they are treating and that they work very very hard to do a good job.July 25, 2017by Kat K
